M2: Putting it into Practice

Symbolism can be defined as using an image, person, place or thing to represent another thing. Symbolism can be found really anywhere from music, to artwork to film and television. Over the weekend I went to see Mother! And it is a perfect example of symbolism. It is a new film out Directed by Darren Aronofsky. (I don't mean to spoil!) A couple living in a rural setting in which the woman is always trying to please her husband, she represents mother nature. Always trying to nurture him in every way possible. The house in which he loves like no other represents earth as place of peace and harmony. And he husband who represents a god like figure, writes a new poem in which no one can see. My thoughts are that it was maybe suppose to represent a bible or something along the lines of that. FINAL PROPOSAL For my final project, I would like to create and design 10-15 music and art festival posters, posters in which you've maybe seen for festivals such as Coachella or Bonnaroo. I am still thinking about whether to have the posters themes all to be a complete idea such as a specific theme for example a futuristic theme or a retro 70's theme.  Or to have each few posters that would represent the different days have complete and separate themes and idea without any connection, but either way these themes would be carried out throughout the entire musical festival. The idea of these posters are to attract people who are interested not only in the performing acts, but to also invite people to a unique experience unlike a typical concert. What is Media Arts? Digital Media Art is a massive form of communication, entertainment,  through a means of art such as painting, drawing, digital design etc., the possibilities are endless. There are so many different platforms of media in which communication can be established from point A (usually a company, etc.) and making its way to point B (typically the audience). Digital media art also known as electric media art is allowing for a whole new experience and way for media art to be showcased and created through means of technology, it's really so far and continues to allow artists to create media in a new and I personally think improved form.
