Underneath the Surface Setting: New York City Subway, Ruby and Jack making their way from 14th St. Union Square to meet Jack's parents for dinner. Characters: Remi: 25 years old, newly moved to the city to begin her career as a graphic design artist, short and petit light skin and large brown almond shaped eyes. Jack: 32 year old, heart surgeon, tall and thin, caramel skin and small green eyes has lived here all his life. Script: Jack: So, how was work today? Remi: Eh, it was ok. Pretty boring and typical day at the office, you? Jack: It was crazy! We had this homeless guy come in with a knife literally sticking out of this head. Remi: What the hell, I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that sort of shit. I would have fainted at the sight of him. (laughing) (Train comes to an abrupt stop in between Grand Central Station and 59th St. Lexington Ave.) Jack: Well this is just fantastic. (Sarcastically) Remi: Chill out, I'm sure we'll be moving
Process I believe every step of the process to be equally important. Each step you take will determine the quality of the next, so in other words if your brainstorming is quickly and sloppily done, and very basic with little thought. Then the next steps you take will most likely be equivalent to the last and so on and so forth.  Truby stated "A good story is a "living" system is which the parts work together to make an integrated whole." ( Truby 108). He goes on describe that each part of the process can be compared to the functions of the human body. Such as the structure being compared to the skeleton, the brain being the theme of the story, etc. This theory is brilliant to me, it makes so much sense because to be it is true. You cannot have something that will thrive beautifully without having them all flowing coherently and fluidly together.  As for adding any new steps to my process, I do not plan to. I any very content of the steps I have planned out fo
Tools, Team & Distribution For my final project, the tools I need are pretty minimal. I will need my laptop and Adobe Photoshop to complete the look I am going for, if need be I will also use Adobe Illustrator as well. I do not think I will need any other programs, but I am willing to purchase/download if necessary. Firstly, I will begin with the layout of the posters by getting the outline and line work completed. Once the outlines are complete, I will go in and use colors, after I have some colors I will begin shading, highlighting etc. to create more details and balance out my posters. I will complete a majority of this piece on my own I believe, but am excited to collaborate with other students. I really enjoy collaborating, it really allows me to think outside of the box and come up with ideas, techniques I wouldn't have thought of. I'm not certain I would really certain for this particular project I would call it collaboration, but more of input or constructive

My storyboard for my final project will consist of 8 pieces. I had originally wanted to create 10-15, but I found that it was too difficult to have them in the end come together and create 1 image. So, I decided to change it to 8 instead. The first four images across the top will contain alien spaceships. With the largest ship being split in the center of the two middle, top posters. Other either side I drew four more small spaceships all the spaceships will have aliens (crew members) inside of them with rays of light shooting from underneath them. For the bottom four images I have decided to use pyramids that will be the base for my project. My vision is to have the rays of light from the spacecraft shooting onto the bottom images of the pyramids. For color I want to use color, but have the colors seem to almost be faded/washed out. I would really appreciate feed back on if I should create acts (musicians) to go on the posters sort of like a line up or if they should just be m

Programs, I plan on using will be Adobe Photoshop and potentially Adobe Illustrator. As for my idea I have not changed anything from my original thoughts. I still intend to create 10-15 posters for a music festival. I have in fact d
This is a video I created using photos from my trip to Japan, in the summer of 2016. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I was lucky enough to visit and stay with my good friends from college for an entire month. Seeing beautiful sights, tasting amazing food and meeting incredible people!

M2: Putting it into Practice

Symbolism can be defined as using an image, person, place or thing to represent another thing. Symbolism can be found really anywhere from music, to artwork to film and television. Over the weekend I went to see Mother! And it is a perfect example of symbolism. It is a new film out Directed by Darren Aronofsky. (I don't mean to spoil!) A couple living in a rural setting in which the woman is always trying to please her husband, she represents mother nature. Always trying to nurture him in every way possible. The house in which he loves like no other represents earth as place of peace and harmony. And he husband who represents a god like figure, writes a new poem in which no one can see. My thoughts are that it was maybe suppose to represent a bible or something along the lines of that. Throughout the movie you see many people come and go into their home uninvited and continuously wanting to please the "creator" of the poem. In the end the people coming to visit the ho

M2: Skills Sets (Week 3)

Skills Sets  (Week 3) Video Editing : In my past college I had the opportunity to work with video editing software called Adobe Premiere Pro CC. With this software I was able to learn the basics of the program such as audio affects such as transitions, as well as video transitions such as dissolves, slides and wipes. I have only used PC for this type of work. Skill Level: 2.0/5.0 Photography : I have only taken one class in photography, but I am not currently enrolled in an advanced level photography class. My knowledge of the camera was mostly self taught before last semester, where I was able to learn the proper fundamentals. I know have knowledge in shutter speed, aperture, the importance of lighting, shadows etc. I hope to expand my knowledge even further this semester! I am currently using a Canon T5 to shoot my photos, hopefully I will be able to share more this semester! Skill Level: 3.8/5.0 Graphic Design : I have taken intro and advanced classes that have expa
